At Campina de Cima, in Loulé, lies CUF's rock salt mine. A place where the planet’s geological history and chemical industry mix in the right doses.
The “Get to Know the José de Mello Group” Programme is already in its 20th edition. At the beginning of March, around two dozen new employees came to discover the various business platforms that make up the José de Mello Group.
The Estarreja Chemical Complex (ECC) was visited by the Portuguese Minister of Economy, Manuel Caldeira Cabral, who thus had first-hand contact with the relevance of this cluster of the National Chemical Industry and the opportunities and challenges for its competitiveness. The event was attended by João de Mello, CUF’s CEO, Jon Bilbao, Dow’s General Manager for Portugal and Spain, Cristina Ballester, Air Liquide’s General Manager for Portugal and Spain, and Luís Montelobo, Representative Delegate of the Board of Directors of Management of CIRES, as well as other executives of ECC companies.
In 2018, CUF was one of the main sponsors of Estarreja's Carnaval – a national event that attracts thousands of visitors from all over the country.
