Frequently asked questions

Can I join online even though I am not a patient

Yes. Any user over the age of 16* can join My CUF. The user can only register if it has a valid portuguese citized card, otherwise the registration process must be done in person at a CUF hospital.


*The 16-year limit is imposed by the National Data Protection Board (CNPD)

Why can't I join?

There are two reasons why you may not be able to validate your membership:

 

  • The TIN is already being used by another account
  • The email is already being used by another account
I am not Portuguese and I do not have a TIN

For security and data protection reasons, without TIN, new subscriptions to My CUF are not allowed. If you are a foreign citizen and have a Portuguese TIN you can sign up for My CUF normally.

The user can only register if it has a valid portuguese citized card, otherwise the registering process must be done in person at a CUF hospital.

We are currently working to find alternative solutions.

Why doesn't my exam result appear on My CUF?

Not all exam results performed at CUF are available in My CUF. You still cannot consult the results of the following exams:

Results of hospitalization exams

Clinical analysis results ARS-SNS

Images performed before October 2019 Imagiology

Imagiology exams at CUF Porto Institute

Gastroenterology exams conducted before March 18, 2015

Results of Pathological Anatomy exams

 

Cardiology reports that are not available in My CUF:

Work accident exam reports are not available on My CUF.

You can request further clarification within My CUF via "Send a message" button in the Profile menu (at the end of the screen), "Contact" by selecting the subject "My CUF Support".

 

What exams made in Permanent Care are available?

The results of your clinical analyses made under Permanent Care are available on My CUF, up to 24 hours after clinical discharge.

My children's account when they reach 16

When your children reach 16 years of age, you automatically stop accessing their account through your My CUF.

At this point, your child should create a My CUF account independently of the parent/guardians (see question "How do I join My CUF").

Once the new My CUF account has been created and validated your child can give you Aggregate Management access through the Third Party Management feature.

The 16-year limit was imposed by the National Data Protection Commission (CNPD).

There's an error in my invoice. What can I do?

You can request further clarification within My CUF via "Send a message" button in the Profile meny (at the end of the screen), "Contact" by selecting the subject "My CUF Support".
