Palliative Care

CUF has palliative care units for patients and families that clinical circumstances warrant hospitalisation and specialised supportive care.

Palliative care units are designed to care for, monitor and actively intervene with the person and their family during treatment to control symptoms, if the disease is prolonged or treatments have ceased to have the desired effect, while respecting their uniqueness, autonomy and dignity and guaranteeing excellent palliative care.

Our palliative care units are multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary. Each one has a coordinated team of doctors, nurses and orderlies, a dietitian, a pharmacist, a psychologist, a social worker and a spiritual adviser to provide assistance to patients 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Each room at the CUF palliative care units has a television, telephone, internet and air conditioning.
