Booking a unscheduled video consultation

You can book your unscheduled video consultation by phone* or My CUF

Thinking of non-urgent cases in which physical interaction is not essential, CUF offers unscheduled video consultations in the comfort of your home or whatever you are. This service is indicated for cases such as respiratory symptoms, fever, cough, urinary complaints, body aches, back pain, nausea, vomiting and eye inflammation.

 

Unscheduled video consultations are booked at the time that best suits you: 7 days a week (including public holidays).

Adults (+18 years old): between 8 am and 10 pm.

 

If an in-person medical examination is necessary, you will be referred to the CUF hospital or clinic of your choice.

Booking a video consultation via My CUF

Access My CUF, search for "Teleconsulta do Dia" (Unscheduled video consultation) by selecting "CUF online" and make your appointment in the usual way.

What is a unscheduled video consultation?

A unscheduled video consultation uses information and communication technologies. It is scheduled for the day that suits you best. It is an alternative for non-urgent cases in which physical interaction is not necessary.

When to use a unscheduled video consultation

A unscheduled video consultation is an option for all non-urgent cases of illness in which physical interaction or contact is not necessary:

  • Skin conditions
  • Diarrhoea or constipation
  • Joint pain Earache or sore throat
  • Low back pain Fever Inflammation or stinging eyes
  • Nausea, vomiting
  • Urinary complaints
  • Cough or other respiratory complaints
When is this consultation not recommended?

You should not use a video consultation in the following clinical situations:

  • Pain or tightness in the chest
  • Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
  • Altered state of consciousness (severe drowsiness)
  • Weakness in an arm, drooping mouth or slurred speech
  • Abundant bleeding
  • Severe burns
  • Injury in an accident

What if I am not a CUF customer?

To ensure the security of your data and confirm your identity, you cannot schedule a video consultation if you are not a CUF customer. Only customers who have already had an appointment or examination at any CUF hospital or clinic are eligible.
