Vaccines
Vaccination is the most effective way to prevent infectious diseases. Vaccines stimulate immunity so that you do not contract diseases when exposed to the infectious agent.
Reactions to vaccines are generally mild, and may include fever and local swelling and redness. There are very few true contraindications.
At CUF, in addition to the vaccines in the National Vaccination Programme (PNV), other vaccines are also available and may be recommended by your physician. The PNV is free and universal for everyone in Portugal.
Non-PNV Vaccines
In addition to the PNV vaccines, there are others vaccines in Portugal that are administered by caregivers, because they are not in the PNV.
