Born - CUF Innovation Meetings 2024

CUF is part of the "Technological Innovation in Healthcare (ITeCS)” Testbed which aims to accelerate the technological development of products or services in the Digital Health field. The ITeCS Testbed is composed of 36 entities from different sectors. It is aimed at SMEs and Startups with technological ideas and/or products, providing technological or testing support to increase their Technology Readiness Level (TRL).

In this 1st ITeCS Testbed Matchmaking startups are invited to register so that they may present their projects to large companies. 

The main areas of activity of the ITeCS Testbed are:

• Prevention in health;
• Primary healthcare; 
• Specialised healthcare;
• Continuing healthcare, preferably with solutions that use artificial intelligence.

The event, promoted by CUF, will take place on 23 October at CUF Porto Hospital.

During this matchmaking, SMEs and Startups will have the opportunity to:

1. Make a pitch to all consortium member entities, explaining their needs and the purpose of their solution/technology
2. Find a partner willing to support them to address the current challenges (technology development, testing and mentoring)
3. Develop a partnership plan and benefit from the ITeCS Testbed services

The application conditions are:

• Be a Portuguese SME or startup;
• Have a solution or technology that fits within the scope of the ITeCS Testbed;
• Need expert support to develop the solution;
• Increase the TRL by at least 1 level with the support received.
