CUF wins award for sustainability in the health sector

The Merco Responsibility ESG 2022 study ranked CUF as the most responsible company in the Health sector for its EGS (Environment, Social and Corporate Governance).

Merco - a benchmark monitor that assesses the reputation of Portuguese companies, their leaders and their ESG practices every year - included CUF for the first time in the ranking on the topic of Sustainability, an increasingly core area of CUF's strategic development plan. In its debut year, CUF was placed 37th in the top 100 most responsible companies in Portugal, making CUF the leader in the health sector.

252 executives from large companies, 41 economic journalists, 31 government officials, 39 financial analysts, 35 NGO managers, 38 trade union members and 36 members of consumer associations participated in the study, in addition to 800 ordinary citizens.

Also, Brisa - Autoestradas de Portugal, a company in which José de Mello has a considerable stake, was the leader in sustainability of the Infrastructure and Construction sector.

CUF is to be congratulated for its commitment to sustainable business measures. This is also a victory for the employees who contribute daily so that CUF can achieve these goals.
